Stainless steel chequered sheets and plates typically contain austenitic stainless steel alloys like 304 or 316. The composition includes iron, chromium (16-26%), nickel (8-24%), and minimal amounts of carbon, manganese, and silicon. These alloys offer excellent corrosion resistance, particularly in harsh environments. Mechanical properties include high tensile strength (500-800 MPa), excellent impact resistance, good formability, and high hardness (around 200-300 Brinell). They are also wear-resistant, ideal for applications requiring durability and slip resistance.
