Mu Metals Foil is a highly conductive alloy consisting mainly of nickel (77-80%), iron (19-21%), small amounts of molybdenum, copper, and other trace elements These elements impart exceptional magnetic properties, especially magnetic permeability high and low pressure. The alloy is ideal for protection from static and low-frequency magnetic fields. Mechanical properties include tensile strength of 500-700 MPa, yield strength of 250-300 MPa, and elongation of about 40%. Mu Metal also has good formability and is easily formed into foils, making it suitable for precision magnetic shield applications.
