Haynes 25 (also known as L605) is a high-performance cobalt-chromium alloy characterized by resistance to oxidation, corrosion and high ambient temperatures It contains approximately 50% cobalt, 20% chromium and 10% tungsten, a nickel, iron and carbon. This alloy provides remarkable strength and durability, especially at temperatures up to 1800°F (982°C). Mechanical properties include good tensile strength, yield strength and creep resistance. Haynes 25 is commonly used in turbine blades, rocket nozzles, and other aerospace components that require strength and resistance under extreme conditions.
